My Silly Girl

Morgan is the cutest, silliest girl!  She has THE FUNNIEST personality.  She is 7 months old!  That means she will be able to start eating baby food meats like "Ham in Ham Gravy" - yum.

Her latest silly quirks are:

• She LOVES to look at herself in the mirror.  She smiles with her mouth wide open and raises her eye brows in excitement and laughs!
• As you may or may not already know, she twirls her hands and feet all at the same time (in perfect circles) when she is very excited or thinking really hard.
• When she thinks there is something to look at on the floor she leans forward trying to peer over the edge of the couch or your lap with her mouth wide open like she's going in for a big bite.
• Sometimes she just gets so excited she pulls your face in, whether it's by your hair or your cheeks and tries to suck on your nose or mouth.  I think it's her way of giving a kiss. :)

Well, she does a whole lot of other adorable stuff, I could go on forever.  She has not started crawling yet and she flat-out refuses to stand on her feet, but maybe this is a blessing - I don't know if I'm physically prepared to chase after her every second!  Better start preparing!

We took Morgan to Ikea last Saturday, she loved it!  They have the cutest toys for kids.  We got her this fabric fruit basket filled with pieces of fabric fruit.  She thought she was pretty funny in this photo (that's the basket on her head).

Morgan fell asleep on the couch by Goober.  I started talking pictures and, well, you'll see how the scene evolved.

I had to split them up pretty quickly after that because Goober doesn't understand that Morgan is just playing.

Where did the time go?

Our precious little girl is 6 months old!

She got this cute outfit from her Grandma Brown for her "6 month birthday."

One day I laid her on the couch while she was asleep and she pulled the blanket over her face and rolled on her side. She's a character!

Morgan can pull off any look. What do you think for her first Halloween costume? A gangster?

This is Morgan's Aunt Jessie. She received her mission call and will be doing a service mission here in Utah! She will be working in the temple and the church office building everyday. We're so excited that she will be staying close to us!
 

lots of firsts!

The past week or so has been quite an experience!  Morgan is growing up so fast >tear< !  In the last week Morgan has learned how to sit up a lot better.  She can almost sit up on her own, she just needs a little help sometimes.

Here she is in her 4th of July dress sitting up all by herself!  At church, every baby girl was decked out in red, white and blue - we have a lot of baby girls in the ward - it was quite funny, and cute!

Morgan had food for the first time!  We fed her peas and they looked and smelled so gross, but I've heard that if you feed babies veggies first instead of fruit, they will like veggies when they get older.  I love my veggies and I wouldn't want her to miss out on all those tasty veggies out there!

Her new thing is chewing on her burp cloth.  She pulls the funniest faces!

On Monday, Morgan went swimming for her first time!  She didn't like it at first, but after she got used to the water, she just laughed for like 10 minutes!  She's a water baby!

After a while she went for a swim by herself!  I was scared to death to let her go under water, but my parents assured me that babies know how to hold their breath.  I still get nervous just thinking about it.

She was fine though.  She loved hanging out outside all day!  She even tried having her first pepsi, not gonna happen Morgan!
